I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
